Historic Collins Street precinct lights up

Kiama Council and the Kiama and District Business Chamber representatives hit the switch on Tuesday night.

The night lights are part of $23,000 worth of improvements to the precinct jointly funded by council and the business chamber.

The night lights, which involved 50 metres worth of warm white fairy lights, have been installed on five trees outside the historic cottages.

Council workers have also installed new garden beds and plants as part of the improvements.

Councillors and council staff as well as members of the business chamber celebrated the official launch of the night lights.
