Northern Districts batted first and were served well by B Leadbitter 42 and M Broadhead 46.

Kiama bowlers worked hard all day with Mathew Laughton, Isaac Laughton, Dominic Clarke, Toby Martin, Cooper Harrison all claiming one wicket each.

Harry Creighton's spell of spin bowling was great to watch, claiming 4/31 off eight overs. Northern districts were all out for 198 off 49.3 overs.

Kiama started their run chase brilliantly with an opening run partnership of 123 between Liam Mackrell and Cooper Harrison.

Mitchell Micallef also batted well with an important 24, whilst Toby Martin hit a 4 off his first ball to score the winning runs.

Liam scored his maiden century, hitting a 6 to take his score to 103 retired not out. Liam controlled the Kiama innings from the first ball to the last in a brilliant display of skill patience and aggression.

Cooper scored 62, adding to his round 1 score of 77. Both boys are in great form with the bat. Kiama ended up scoring 3/214 off 48.2 overs.

The boys now take on Dapto next weekend in their round 3 clash.

Third grade were defeated by Kookas in their game at Bonaira St Oval. Kookas batsmen Ian Woods blasted 153 to take Kookas to a total of 4/274. 

In reply, early wicket cost Kiama as they slumped to 4/55.  Some lusty late order hitting from Jason Horley (36), Bernie Brown (45) and Mick Ward (75) was unfortunately not enough as the Cavs finished all out for 239.

A man of the match performance from Tom Murray saw second grade continued their strong start to the season with a commanding victory over Kookas at Oakleigh Park. 

Captain Ben Jones wont the toss and had little hesitation in choosing to bat. 

The Cavs started slowing, losing a couple of early wickets to be 2/35. Opener Nathan Barr (64) and Zac Parker saw about steadying the ship, putting on 82 for the 3rd wicket before Parker fell for a well made 52. 

This bought Murray to the crease, who showed a perfect mix of patience and aggression to compile a brilliant 108 to lay the platform for a massive total for the Cavs.  Luke Day (33*), Luke Francis (14) and Liam Murphy (26*) all chipped in with better than run a ball innings to finish the innings off and set the mammoth total of 6/367 from their 50 overs.

Tight bowling from the opening bowlers Hugo Ikeda (2/9) and Luke Day (0/10) was backed up by some great fielding, especially from Liam Murphy who effected a sharp run out to remove the Kookas number 3. 

Steve Piper had a huge effort, bowling 10 straight overs finishing with the economical figures of 1/25 and with Luke Francis (1/17) at the other end, the Kookas chase was essentially over at 5/52 off 20 overs. 

Murray then finished off a great day claiming 4/51 to help bowl Kookas out for 127 and complete a convincing team victory for the Cavs.
