Sebastian, who rose to fame after taking out the inaugural Australian Idol singing competition on national television in 2003, purchased a home in Gerroa in 2012 after falling in love with the area.
Now, he is looking forward to playing his latest record, Conscious, to his south coast fans after booking a last-minute show at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre.
“I am a bit of a local down there because I have a place in the area,” he said.
“I often spend time down on the Shoalhaven river and I like the farmers market and the meat place in Nowra. There are always people who say g’day and everyone is nice.”
Sebastian was to head to the region for “time out” and rehearsals before taking on the national tour, which takes in six capital cities and Newcastle. However, he decided to add the Nowra venue to his tour.
“My thought was to head to the coast and immerse myself in the tour and have a little bit of time out,” he said.
“What better place to do that than the south coast. It is so peaceful and I am used to it.
“Then I decided to book Nowra, which I am glad I did. I am excited about the show there.
“It will be a really fun show because I have a lot of friends and supporters down that way. I am excited to see a lot of familiar faces and show people some new and some old music.”
