FOUR local sporting organisations will be able to upgrade facilities thanks to funding from the Kiama District Sports Association.

Jamberoo Combined Sports will inherit $12,000 for an upgrade the seating and fencing at Kevin Walsh Oval.

Gerringong Netball Club recently scored state government funding to upgrade lighting at the courts, and Kiama District Sports Association will also contribute $10,000 to the project.

Jamberoo Football Club will be able to purchase new goalposts and nets at Keith Irvine Oval thanks to a $4000 boost.

The Kiama Sports Complex Users group will construct a covered BBQ area with a $4000 grant from the association.

The association sources funding from Kiama Council and its member affiliate sporting organisations.

These funds are then distributed to organisations that apply for assistance to complete various projects and to buy much-needed resources and facilities.

President: Col Rathbone, Vice President: Paul Condon, Secretary: John Dawson, Assistant Secretary: Gail Gaynor, Treasurer: Vic East and Trust Fund Convenor: Craig Scott.
