The final, with marker and district president Ann Brandley and scorers Robyn Herbert and Helen Neilson, was well played by both ladies with Sue McGilvray taking out the win against Marilyn O’Day from Culburra.
McGilvray played consistent games throughout the competition, giving all the spectators great games.
District president Ann Brandley invited both players and district vice president Meg McClure, district vice president Barbara Young, district treasurer Lynn Youren, district publicity officer Suzanne Stevenson and president of Gerringong Jan Lillye into the Bomaderry Bowling Club to celebrate the win and have a luncheon.
Mrs Brandley presented McGilvray with the Minor Singles trophy then pinned McGilvray with the badge, after which she thanked the district for running the tournament so well.
Organisers wished to extend a thank you to umpire Elaine Preston for her time.
