The singles event is arguably the most important of the year, with some of the country’s best bowlers competing.
Kiama Bowling Club had a representative in both the seniors and reserve competitions.
In the seniors, club captain Mick Weir won through to the final with a win over Dapto Citz Graham Tootel before going down to Corrimal's Rob Fahey 31-22 in a tough final.
In the reserves competition Kiama's Brad Gibson won five matches on the way to the semi-final before going down to eventual winner Paul Cable 31-21.
The blue ribbon event was the opens final between former champion Brendan Aquilina from Dapto Citz and Warilla's NSW under 25 representative Harley McDonald. It was McDonald’s day winning the final 31-12 at Kiama Bowling Club in what could only be described as perfect conditions.
