Celebrate International Blues Day on Saturday, August 5 with free back-to-back, wall-to-wall blues at the Kiama Leagues Club.
There will be 11 hours of music from 1pm – midnight with six blistering bands: Pete Cornelius and the Devilles, Continental Robert Susz Blues Party, Simon Kinny-Lewis, Tomcat Playground, Mya Szwec’s Groove Depot with Pat Powell and 500 Pounds of Joy.
The next live and local Music in the Park Sunday session is on Sunday, August 6. Hosted by the Kiama Jazz and Blues Club and Kiama Municipal council the winter free monthly music continues from 1.15pm-3.30pm with Jack Rose, Mark Dabin and the Simon Dyos Band.
August 19 is the famous Kiama Jazz and Blues Club dinner dance. This year the Pavilion Kiama will be transformed into a Speakeasy dive. The Geoff Power Quintet puts us in the mood with his sensational Jazz Age Jive and Bootleg Swing! The event is the Jazz and Blues Club’s major fundraiser for the 2018 Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival. There’s a 1920s and ’30s theme, dress to thrill. Tables of 12, BYO. There's even a password. The August Blues Bash at the Kiama Bowling Club will be held on Saturday, August 19. Featured acts are 500 Pounds of Joy, Kane Dennelly solo and Alison Penney and the Moneymakers
