The seminar will cover the four components of soil biological fertility, plant roots, soil microbes, soil organisms and soil carbon, assessing soil biological fertility, field and lab options, the six principles for soil management, optimising your soil's biological fertility and understanding the living soil.
David Hardwick is an agricultural ecologist who specialises in soil fertility.
His recent work includes the development of a Landcare soil psychology course and a visual soil assessment activity that has been successfully used by a number of Landcare groups in the central west and south of NSW.
