From their creation in 1971, the Mr Men and Little Misses have made their way into story time in most households and schools, with reincarnations of the personalities gracing THE WALLS in Wollongong Central.
The exhibition is curated by Eddie Zammit and is the first time permission has been granted for the characters to be “reinterpreted based on the individual styles of featured artists”, according to organisers.
Redrawn: Celebrating 45 years of Mr Men and Little Miss includes featured works by street artists 123KLAN, Ben Brown, Bei Badgirl, Jeremyville and Meggs.
Meanwhile, big kids can revel in nostalgia while littlies get immersed in Mr Men fun with screenings of the original 1970’s television series.
The exhibition, presented by aMBUSH Gallery, will be open to the public throughout February, March and April (including the Easter school holidays) across two levels of the centre, is free of charge and open daily during trading hours.
