Rods stolen – Fishing rods and equipment to the value of $1390 has been stolen from a caravan site in Hector McWilliam Drive, Tuross Head. The incident occurred Saturday evening. The items included a white Shimano reel, a grey Slingshot rod, a black/gold Penn reel, a black Shimano reel, a black/blue combo Shimano reel and a maroon Gloomis reel.

Vehicle break-in – Sometime between 8.30am and 2.30pm on Monday, October 24, a vehicle was broken into at the Narooma boat ramp and a GoPro camera, hydraulic jack and medication has been stolen. Police remind people not to leave valuables in their vehicle when it is unattended.
Drugs detected – At 2.45pm on Monday, Narooma police were patrolling the Brou Lake rest area and had cause to search two Dalmeny males, both aged 27. One was found in possession of a small amount of illegal drugs and has been charged in relation to the matter.
Vehicle damaged – Police are investigating an incident where a parked vehicle was damaged in Union Street, Bega during Sunday evening. The bonnet of a Subaru was damaged by being hit with an object.
Drink driving – About 8.40pm Monday, police stopped a Toyota Landcruiser on Pericoe Road, Towamba. After a positive reading for alcohol, the 64-year-old driver was arrested and taken to Eden Police Station. He was charged with mid-range PCA after a secondary test. He will appear at Eden Local Court on November 9.
Drug driving – About 11.25pm on Saturday, police stopped a blue Holden Commodore on Edward Road, Batehaven for the purpose of a random breath and drug test. The 24-year-old-male driver was breath tested with a negative result for alcohol. He was tested for drugs using a saliva test with a positive detection to cannabis and methamphetamines. He was arrested for the purpose of a secondary test and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station. This was conducted and laboratory results will determine police legal action. He was issued a driving prohibition notice for 24 hours.
High ranger – A 6.30pm on Saturday, police stopped a vehicle travelling south along Beach Road, Batemans Bay after being observed travelling 30km/h in a sign posted 60km/h area. The 44-year-old driver from the ACT was breath tested with a positive alcohol reading. He was arrested and recorded a high range reading. He was charged with drink driving and had his licence suspended. He will appear at Batemans Bay Local Court.
