To celebrate NSW Bike Week, the 3rd annual Kiama Classic Family Fun Bike Ride is being held on September 17.

Pushing off at 10.30am, the 5km return course will see cyclists riding around Kiama Harbour as well as across a number of beaches on road pathways.
Kiama Council road safety officer Janelle Burns said the event will offer families a great day out.
“It's a really enjoyable event and it comes with the beautiful spring weather, and location of Kiama,” she said.
“It aims to get people to enjoy cycling, and people of all ages are welcoming to attend. It promotes cycling as a fun activity, and all proceeds go to the Heart Foundation.”
The event is part of NSW Bike Week, which aims to to increase the use of cycling infrastructure, provide a safe and suppportive environment for cyclists to improve and increase cycling education.
Registrations start at 9am. Participants will be provided with free drink bottles, backpack covers, sunscreen and stickers on registration. Registrants will also go into the draw to win a bike from Kiama Cycles & Sports after completing a rider survey.
