The next series of the daytime concerts, Music in the Morning will commence at the Wollongong Town Hall this August.
This series of Music in the Morning runs from August to November.
The schedules includes:
*Country Gold – John Bowles (August 8) kicks off the season with some country classics. Songs from Willie Nelson, Anne Murray, John Denver, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Smoky Dawson, Slim Dusty and many more that you can tap your feet too.
*Swing to the Classics – Starring the NSW Police Band and Swing Katz dancers (September 5) will take you on a journey through Broadway hits, movie themes and all-time swing classics. The NSW Police Band join them again along with star vocalist, senior musician Belinda Parsons.
Get up and dance or simply bop along and be mesmerised by the swing dancers from Sydney’s Swing Katz, Australia’s premier swing performance dancers.
*Dale Burridge (October 10), an original Australian cast member of Phantom of the Opera appears in this dynamic show of diverse vocal styles.
He will take you on a trip from opera to Broadway, from Puccini to Lloyd Webber.
*Scott Radburn & Friends (November 14) will entertain you with song, comedy, magic, sing-alongs and some good old variety entertainment.
Radburn calls Wollongong home and is best known as a member of the multi-award-winning group The Four Kinsmen. Since they called it a day Radburn has been entertaining crowds throughout the world.
The show will also feature special guests Charlotte Rhiane and Michael Montgomery.
Each Music in the Morning concert opens at 10am with a free morning tea, where the audience can meet and mingle in a relaxed setting before the live music begins at 11am.
