The Romans Hot Rod Association will be running their Hot Rod Show and Shine car show on Sunday, September 11 at Black Beach, Kiama.
The event aims to showcase unique and rare cars. Motoring enthusiasts will display their hot rods, custom and classic cars.
The event has previously attracted cars from throughout the Illawarra, as well as Sydney and the lower Blue Mountains.
This year there will be a craft market on the park, as well as activities for kids, including a jumping castle, face-painting and colouring competitions.
Their usual food stalls and trade stands will be back, and again Black Beach will be filled with colourful and shiny hot rod cars from the 1930’s and 40’s.
Later model classic cars will also be on display.
Cars are welcome on the park from 8am at $10 per vehicle, and the public from 8.30am.
The Kiama Lions Club will have bacon and egg breakfast sandwiches, and lunch options later in the day. There will also be a coffee van on the park.
The Sydney-based Romans club was founded in 1960 and is touted as the oldest hot rod club in NSW.
Romans president John Dickie said some of the members were from the Illawarra and South Coast.
