James Spence's first grade team came into the match following a gritty 1-1 draw away to Thirroul but were short of regular first teamers against the second-placed Wanderers.
Striker Keegan Beringer and midfielder Jacob Lester were suspended, while winger Daniel Gillespie missed out with a dislocated shoulder.
Kiama came into the match with two wins and a draw from their three home league matches so far this season, but it was the Wanderers who started the brighter.
Influential midfielder Paul Gaffney saw plenty of the ball and strikers Bojan Caric and Colin Walker caused problems for Kiama's back four of Kane Rowe, Chris Hill, Dean Land and Tom Cunliffe.
Dylan McDonald made a strong save following a Gaffney shot and winger Daniel Swinton headed over before the Wanderers broke the deadlock in the 28th minute through Walker.
The powerful striker rose unmarked at the far post and powered a header past McDonald.
Kiama were dangerous on the counter-attack at times but struggled to get strapping striker James Donlon into the match in the first half.
Warilla made it 2-0 in the 38th minute as Caric was played through by Gaffney and allowed to finish past McDonald.
Kiama were more assertive in the early minutes of the second half, with 21-year-old midfielder Jesse Annen particularly tricky and dangerous going forward.
It was a mistake that allowed Warilla to make it 3-0 ten minutes into the half. Caric intercepted right back Cunliffe's errant back pass, rounded McDonald and finished with aplomb.
Walker got his second after he embarked on a mazy run from the right flank into the penalty area and scuffed a shot that dribbled past McDonald and snuck inside the far post.
Chris Christodoulou was bright in attack as Kiama tried to claw their way back, and Swinton came close to scoring after some incisive passing and dribbling on the right flank.
It was Walker, however, who completed his hat-trick after too easily being allowed to turn and shoot on the edge of the penalty area.
Jason Forrester scored a wonderful late consolation goal as he curled a shot from an acute angle over goalkeeper Bradley Hunter into the top right of the goal.
Jason Forrester scored a wonderful goal.
- Great play.
The score remained 5-1 as Kiama suffered their second defeat of the season. Hill was awarded Man of the Match, while Annen also impressed.
Earlier in the day, Jason Perinich's youth grade side were defeated 3-0 by the young Wanderers. Luke Munro was Man of the Match for Kiama.
Neil Spence's youth grade side were defeated 4-0 and had influential midfielder John Dover dismissed. Silky striker Mitch Gowland was voted Man of the Match.
It was better news for Kiama on Sunday as the first grade side beat University 6-2 away to progress to the quarter-finals of the Bert Bampton Cup.
