The application has been made by Kate Manderson for a property at 59 Worrigee Street.
This application seeks approval to convert an existing consulting room into a waiting area, and to construct a new section comprising consulting rooms, treatment room, utility room, storage space and toilet.
The work is valued at $182,000.
The site currently contains a single storey weatherboard cottage with associated car parking at its rear and was granted development consent in 1977 to been used as a doctor’s surgery, which continues today.
The proposed alterations will provide additional office and working space to the building to improve access to services and amenities within the building.
The centre will operate from 8.30am to 5.30pm and will also provide eight car parking spaces.
The site gains both vehicular and pedestrian access from a rear one way unnamed laneway, which adjoins a council car park, for the car parking facilities, which are located at the rear of the property.
The proposed alterations and additions will increase the size of the gross floor area to 270 square metres.
