JOHN Brewster is revelling in performing on The Angels' current tour - although the guitarist admits that at two-and-a-half hours, it's a "bloody long show".

The legendary rockers are delving into their back catalogue for the A-Z Tour.
As the title suggests, the band have dug out 26 tracks, one for each letter of the alphabet, and play them back to back.
"Some idiot came up with that idea," he laughed.
"I think you may be talking to him.
"Twenty-six songs, plus an encore - two-and-a-half hours later, it's over."
After announcing the first leg of the tour, which featured a full month of dates throughout May, the band were surprised by the support and decided to continue the tour in the second half of 2015.
It offers a rare opportunity for music fans to hear some of the biggest hits, mixed with classic rarities.
The band launched the tour in February with a couple of packed shows at The Bridge Hotel in Sydney.
Brewster said the performances included being a little creative regarding song selection.
Shadow Boxer falls under b, for instance, while Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, often aired near the end of shows, opens proceedings instead.
"A-Z is a blast," Brewster said.
"It's great to be able to play so many songs that we are often asked to play but haven't been able to fit them in.
"We do the whole night, so we're our own warm-up act.
"We've tried it, we like it and we look forward to taking it on the road for the second round after our gigs overseas in London, Paris and Sweden."
The shows also make reference to late former front-man Doc Neeson, who had a turbulent relationship with the rest of the band.
"We raise a glass to Doc," Brewster said.
"Doc is a huge part of our history, and we do like to acknowledge that.
"We have great memories of our time with Doc - although they're not all great memories," he laughed.
The past 12 months featured significant milestones for The Angels, first with the release of their studio album of all-new material Talk The Talk, and their sell-out 40th anniversary tour.
The band's current line-up is Dave Gleeson (vocals), Rick Brewster (lead guitar), John Brewster (rhythm guitar), Sam Brewster (bass) and Nick Norton (drums).
John Brewster believes the inclusion of Gleeson and his son Sam in the ranks had somewhat reinvigorated the band.
"It's great having some new troops; we just have a great time," he said.
"It's a very happy camp, and we just love playing.
"An Angels show is a mutual celebration between the band and the audience.
"I think this new show is a blinder - people tell us it's up there with the best Angels shows."
