The respected Berry resident is so busy doing things for others she will barely have time to accept her medal of the Order of Australia (OAM).
Mrs Kellett was nominated for service to the community of Berry.
“I was shocked to find out someone had nominated me,” she said.
“A certain person, they know who they are, came by to see me ages ago about this and I said no thank you go and find someone else.
“It is a great honour though, to think someone thought so highly of me.
“But I do these things for my own pleasure. I get great pleasure from helping other people.
“Giving your time to someone is very fulfilling.”
Mrs Kellett said being involved in so many community organisations kept her going.
“I must thank my husband Brian who is always there to support me. I thank the members of the various organisations too.”
