After the driver of the car passed the test, Justin Dean Folley started talking to the officers, who noticed his bloodshot glassy eyes and slurred speech.
When they asked him if there was anything in the car that shouldn’t be, he produced a bag containing 16.2 grams of cannabis leaf from his pocket.
Charged with possessing a prohibited drug, Folley, 29, of Anderson Street, Moruya, pleaded guilty when he appeared before Batemans Bay Local Court on May 18.
The offence occurred at Mogo on May 1 and cost the defendant $800 in fines and court costs.
