The production showcases, toasts and roasts more than 20 Broadway hits and includes 60 classic stars and characters in two jammed-packed hours.
Director Greg Shand is no stranger to the world of professional theatre, with more than 35 years' experience and appearing in international productions such as Cats, Les Miserables, The Rocky Horror Show and as part of the original cast of Me and My Girl starring Oscar winner Emma Thompson on the West End.
Producer Juran Jones said Shand was "the perfect match" for Forbidden Broadway.
"No one in the region has the experience he has and he is quite happy to take the mickey out of these famous shows and personalities," Jones said.
"Greg and the cast have crafted together an hilarious night of musical theatre."
Billed as the show that is for those who love show tunes and those who loathe them, the cast parade the hits (and misses) in this comedy tribute to Broadway's premiere stars and songwriters.
To be presented at the ITeC Theatre in Coniston, Forbidden Broadway stars Illawarra's Justin Clarke, Colin Coakes, Nicole Coakes, Danny Condon, Melissa Jones, Louise Tonge, Rebecca Virtu and Dylan Wright who will be joined onstage by musical virtuoso Lisa Baraldi.
Three shows only, Friday, June 5, 8pm, Saturday, June 6, 2pm and 8pm at the ITeC Theatre, 1-5 Miller Street, Coniston.
