In term two the club will again offer its Fun Fridays and Homework Hub programs and will also be operating the KidzCare vacation care program over the Easter holidays.
Fun Fridays is free and open to students aged five to 12 years old. It operates every Friday during school terms from 4pm-6pm.
"Fun Fridays is a great program, we have high school students from the local schools come down and do their certificate 1 in active volunteering, and they learn how to provide games in a safe way for the primary school students," Lake Illawarra PCYC club manager Rosana Cepero said.
The Homework Hub is a similar program, with participants of a PCYC youth leadership program running it.
"We have high school students who are doing the Blue Star Leadership program, they'll go away on the camp during the school holidays and learn about volunteering and then next term they'll come back and run the program," Ms Cepero said.
"The students will provide some tutoring, but we also have some other resources to help out as well."
Homework Hub will run each Tuesday during the school term from 3.30pm-5pm at a cost of $50 a child. Bookings essential.
The KidzCare vacation care program provides child care for children aged five to 12-years-old from 8.30am-5.30am each day of the school holidays, excluding public holidays.
The cost is $35 a day and bookings are essential.
