THE efforts of two Jamberoo women will be gracing kitchen counters and coffee tables throughout the country as part of Earth Hour Australia's new cookbook.

Released to promote Earth Hour, Planet to Plate: The Earth Hour Cookbook features 52 recipes from top Australian chefs and stories from Australian farmers on the impacts of climate change on their farms and the availability of fresh food.
Matt Preston (MasterChef), Neil Perry, Miguel Maestre (Channel 10's The Living Room) and Margaret Fulton are among the chefs and food personalities who have contributed.
The "sunrise" of the book is the story of Jamberoo dairy farmer Lynne Strong, alongside images by Jamberoo photographer Linda Faiers.
"We are the sunrise, the first story in this gorgeous celebration of food and farmers," Mrs Strong said.
"This region is heaven on earth for dairy farming and I love how Linda's photos capture that so perfectly."
Ms Faiers has been photographing the region for close to 30 years and said she was honoured to be part of showcasing the region on a national level.
"That's the feeling I've had the whole way through this process, it's such a unique, high-class publication and I am thrilled and honoured to be part of it," Ms Faiers said.
"I just love the cookbook and how it's so holistic, encompassing sustainable agriculture, the land and the people who work on the land, and the recipes from so many amazing celebrity chefs - I feel like it's too lovely to take into the kitchen and get grubby."
A sixth-generation dairy farmer, Mrs Strong has noted more extreme heatwaves and bigger rainfall events, which have led to a dramatic decline in her farm's production of milk.
Her family's climate-change strategy is to optimise both the productivity of their cows and landscape.
Mrs Strong said the cookbook is a great statement of how powerful partnerships between farmers and WWF (the not-for-profit behind Earth Hour Australia) can swing focus onto getting the best outcomes for farmers, food security and the environment.
