The 1983 model roller has been on death's door for several years. It will be replaced by a new one, as part of a $13,000 state government grant.
"The old roller has been struggling for years, in fact the cost of repairs has been astronomical, so this donation has a two-fold bonus for us as it will not only give us a new roller, but also save us money on repairs," Kiama secretary Brendan Barr said.
"As well as replacing the roller, we will also be putting $3000 towards repairs to our junior nets at Bonaira Oval."
Mr Barr said the Cavaliers club has been moving forward in leaps and bounds this season, with their first grade already qualifying for the MLC Advice Premier League semi-finals in third spot, while their second grade side recently took out the Summers Cup T20 competition.
"The club is in good shape and things are coming together nicely, with our junior teams firing as well, and we thank Mr Ward for his continued support," he said.
Kiama MP Gareth Ward congratulated the Kiama club and its hard-working committee.
"Kiama Cricket Club is a fantastic local club, punching well above its weight.
"Junior cricket is very strong across our region and a great way for our young people to stay fit and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
"I would like to acknowledge the hard work of club president Nathan Barr, secretary Brendan Barr, as well as the directors John Dawson, Matt O'Brien, Dave Timbs, Daniel Reilly, Sam Wolf and juniors co-ordinator Peter Lawton."
