Although it may have have been "a little too hot at points", Kiama Show Society president David Young said they had been blessed with sunny weather on both Friday and Saturday.
Mr Young said new activities such as the La Petite Grande Circus tent and the community stage were well-received, and the returning camel races proved to be a hit.
"The fireworks were the highlight; people say they get better and better every year," he said.
"We're very happy with the show, numbers were up from last year for the Friday. It was a resounding success."
Among the show's standouts was the 25th anniversary of the Pat Gallagher Memorial Wood Chop on Saturday. The event is named after the late Mr Gallagher, who owned a timber mill at Bombo and sponsored a chopping event.
His son, Terry, has carried on the tradition since his father's death in 1990.
"The wood chop is still a very important part of the show," Terry said.
This year's presentation of the sashes and prize money was made by Pat Gallagher's great-grandchildren, Isaac and Solomon Gates, and Laura and Max Lindsay.
