Trade and Investment Crown Lands announced the appointment of Lynette Patricia Cuell (treasurer), Samuel Edwards (chairman), Chris Homer and Helen Stewart on the reserve trust board.
Mr Edwards said there had been various achievements in the two years the trust had been in place.
“The guys on the trust are very passionate about what they do,” he said.
“Lyn has been the spearheading the accounts and had good visibility into the financial affairs of the park. Helen has been strong on community consultation and Chris has been looking at the environmental aspects of the park and is the chairman of the National Surfing Reserve.
“Councillor Peter Moran is the ex-officio and has shared his wealth of experience in local government matters.” - As at the council meeting on December 16 Mayor Marrianne Saliba was appointed as ex-officio.

Mr Edwards said through the new electronic booking system the park had gone from “strength to strength”.
“The staff employed under the Crown Lands Act, manage groups of volunteers through a relationship with the local TAFE, local schools and the local Aboriginal Council,” he said.
“From that we get a whole lot of labour from track building, weeding, pest control, nursery building and maintenance. With help from the new electronic booking system the camping ground is always well attended.
“Other alternate channels of income include the environmental education centre, surf school license fees and fitness, yoga and running groups,” Mr Edwards said.
Around 700 reserves are looked after by community volunteers, who help care for valuable local infrastructure. Trust members are eligible for the annual Lands Crown Reserve Trust Award which recognises the important work trust members do.
