The early rounds are completed with a couple of very tight results.
Cathy Dawson and Peter Wallace def Nick Tylee and Greta O'Donnell 19-17, Cathy Rymer and Steve Wills def Mel and Ray Walker 22-19, Shirley and Bill Read def Gaye Reynolds and Alan Morgan 24-6, Jan and Geoff McIntyre def Barbara and Bob Roser 31-9 and Bronwyn and Russell Campbell def Narelle Brown and Mick Weir 26-14.
In Social Bowls on Tuesday the ladies had good numbers. The winners were Ros Jones, Elizabeth Pryce and Jan Tarbert with Mel Walker, Denise Scott and Gaye Reynolds runners-up. On Thursday Mirielle Minet, Mary Sultana and Audrey Evans took out the winners' prizes.
The Wednesday men playing triples saw Alex Farringdino, Geoff Ward and Mick Miller win with Troy Bartrim, John Tomlinson and Steve Rolls runners-up. The competitive men's pairs on Thursday had Cameron Baker and Adam Rodgers in the winners' circle ahead of Bill (Bias) Corkin and Mick Miller.
The Saturday men played for the best margin and the team of George Clowes, Ken Condon and Craig Coleman won by a country mile with Max Kunzler, Graham Mowbray and Les Jones declared runners-up on a count back.
A reminder to both ladies and men: on Sunday, December 14, we are having a Mixed Meat day with play commencing at 1pm. Please get your names on the sheet by Thursday, December 11.
On a welfare note it is great to see our friend Rod Netherclift recovering well from his recent surgery and able to get to the club as a spectator.
