■ Youth unemployment 15.8 per cent - regional NSW average is 12.8 per cent
■ One-parent families with dependent children 5.9 per cent
■ 49.9 per cent of Shellharbour residents have no qualifications
■ 31 per cent of early childhood services meet or exceed the National Quality Standard
■ 2.6 per cent of residents attend TAFE
■ 8.1 per cent of residents have a university degree, compared to NSW 19.9 per cent
■ 25.3 per cent of residents hold trade qualifications compared to NSW 17.7 per cent
■ 68.1 per cent of children are physically, socially and emotionally developed by first year of school
■ 21.2 per cent of children developmentally vulnerable in one or more domains and 10.9 per cent in two or more
■ 77 per cent of newborn babies accessed family health service in the first year of life
