WOLLONGONG City Council and friends have come to the party to help parents keep kids entertained - three free children's outdoor movies will be screened in the city.

As part of the council's Moonlight Movies program, Reed Park, Dapto will be the venue for a free screening of Madagascar, this Saturday from 8pm.
The animated comedy to be screened on October 25 tells the story of four animals from New York Central Zoo who escape, unwittingly assisted by four absconding penguins, and find themselves in Madagascar, among a bunch of merry lemurs.
The second free, outdoor film, Hotel Transylvania, will be shown at Harry Graham Park in Figtree on November 1.
Happy Feet is the final free, Moonlight Movie. It will be shown at Thirroul Beach Reserve on November 8.
Moonlight Movies are supported by the council, IMB Building Society and TAFE Illawarra, whose marketing students are managing and promoting the films as part of their studies.
Gates open at 6pm, with movies to screen from 8pm.
