The life of the 17-year-old Oak Flats High School student was tragically cut short in a car accident on Boollwarroo Parade, Shellharbour, two weeks ago.

Hundreds of people gathered at Shallows beach, Shellharbour on Friday to farewell a daughter, sister, grandchild, friend, and girlfriend with the "smile like sunshine, that could light up a room".

As a reflection of Casey-lee's colourful and spirited personality, everyone brought along a balloon to let go into the sky at the end of the service.

Family and friends shared stories of Casey-lee's bubbly personality, "beautiful soul" and her happy nature. Casey-lee's mother shared some of Casey-lee's many loved qualities and her unique ability to put a smile on anyone's face.

Casey-lee's mother said that through organ donations Casey had saved the lives of five people, including a newborn baby girl who desperately needed a liver.

Following the accident, thousands of people took to social media to pay tribute to Casey-lee.
