The 19-year-old took out four placings with a first, a second and two thirds, with his old English game bantams and langshans.
Mr McParland is following a strong family tradition in agricultural shows.
The family used to show cattle, but have made a reputation in local shows with their vegetables and flowers as well as poultry where poultry sections are available.
"I have been showing my poultry for about eight years and this year put 10 entries in and to get four prizes is OK," Mr McParland said.
"I now have three different lines of langshans at home, my own, one from Queensland and another from Gundagai."
The McParland family also exhibited pumpkins, including some of which were part of the Southern Division display in the District Exhibits.
