Organised to celebrate and coincide with the re-opening of the Fredericks IGA Jamberoo, the competition is designed to turn the lens on this beautiful area.
Jamberoo IGA was destroyed by fire in December 2012. Allowrie Street will be closed on April 12 for a gala community event.
There will be produce stores, mini business expo, wine tasting, and cake stalls. The entertainment will include amateur and professional musicians as well as the photographic and art exhibition.
Photography competition organiser Linda Faires said the area meant different things to different people and the competition would show that.
She said the photos needed to show how people felt about Jamberoo.
Photos will be exhibited from April 12 at Jamberoo Bowling Club.
The two categories are Accomplished and Beginner. Photos must be printed, with a maximum size of 16x24 (no minimum size). There is no limit to the number of entries.
Entries are due by April 5. Send or deliver to Elders Real Estate, Allowrie Street, marked Jamberoo Photo Competition. Please include an entry form with name, age, category and contact details.
