Entries are steadily coming in but more are encouraged for the Jamberoo Celebrates Photographic Competition.
Organised to celebrate and coincide with the re-opening of the Fredericks IGA Jamberoo, the competition is designed to turn the lens on this beautiful part of our municpality.
Jamberoo IGA was destroyed by fire in December 2012. A gala community event will be held in the town, including the closing off Allowrie Street on April 12.
The event will inlcude produce stores, mini business expo, wine tasting, cake stalls and entertainment.
The entertainment will include amateur and professional musicians in addition to the photographic and art exhibition.
Photography competition organiser Linda Faires said the area meant a lot of different things to different people and the competition aimed to capture that.
She said the photo needed to express how people felt about the Jamberoo - be in the pastures, sport, or the rainforest.
Photos will be exhibited from April 12 at Jamberoo Bowling Club.
The two vategories are Accomplished and Beginner. Photos must be submitted as print only, maximum size 16x24 (no minimum size). There are no limit to the number of entries.
Entries are due by April 5. Send or deliver to Elders Real Estate, Allowrie Street, marked Jamberoo Photo Competition Please include entry form with name, age, category and contact detail.
