NEW Year’s Eve in the Kiama Municipality, will again be highlighted by the traditional New Year’s Eve fireworks at Kiama Harbour.

Thousands of people flock to the area to watch the display of spectacular colour, with Kiama Council highlighting the need to either leave your car at home or take advantage of the parking areas like Kiama Showground, Surf Beach, Eddy Street, Railway Parade, Collins Lane, Manning Street, Akuna Street or Kiama Leisure Centre.
Council also urges people not to rush off after the fireworks to avoid long traffic queues getting out of town.
The fireworks, sponsored by Kiama Council and Kiama Tourism, begins at 9am will be complimented by food stalls, face painting and music, together with the carnival at Black Beach.
Other venues have also arranged entertainment, with Kiama Leagues Club having the Charlie Harper Band with a Gangster theme, The Grand rocking the night away with Capilution, Kiama Golf Club entertained by Liam Maihi and Simone Waddell, The Sebel has Darren Coogan in the Bar and Bistro while Tory’s hosts the Block Busters and a guest DJ.
Out of town local favourite Woody takes centre stage at Gerringong Bowling Club, while Jamberoo Bowling Club has a Black and White theme with guest DJ. Tickets are $20 and that includes a free drink, lots of prizes and a lucky door prize. If you pre-purchase a ticket you will get an extra drink ticket.
