Some fabulous activities have also been planned for visitors to help ILRMS celebrate its 49th birthday.
Celebrations will see the Voluntary Light Railway Museum operate on Sunday, February 14 and Saturday, February 27 from 10am to 2pm.
Historical diesel locomotives will operate on both days on the main line ride, as will the miniature train.
Visitors can also check out the museum and relive those memories of the grand old days of railways.
There will also be food sales and a great kid's play areas and picnic grounds for all to enjoy.
ILRMS treasurer and life member Brad Johns said many families had enjoyed visiting the museum over the years.
"They have enjoyed the museum for what it is, what we had started back in those early days and what has been achieved by volunteers," Mr Johns said.
"We have seen and gathered redundant pieces of light railway history collected from all areas by the society's volunteers and restored them for all to enjoy.
"it should be noted that our museum is manned by a great team of volunteers who all share the passion to enhance our museum operations.
"Our opening days since returning from COVID have been well attended. Our volunteers are ready to again welcome big crowds on February 14 and 27."
