Welcome to the South Coast
It's no secret the South Coast has had its fair share of tragedy and disaster during 2020. Raging bushfires greeted us in the new year, followed by COVID-19 and in more recent months, violent storms and flooding.
But with spring comes new beginnings and fresh hope for the future of our beautiful region. New life has sprung from the charred land, and the community is working hard at rebuilding itself. These testing times have proven the resilience of the South Coast people and their ability to innovate and pivot in order to continue to provide their unique brand of hospitality and service.
While the pandemic has taken its toll on many of these businesses, many have remained open, or reopened with COVIDSafe guidelines in place to keep staff and customers well and happy. We ask that you consider supporting these towns which rely heavily on tourism dollars throughout the entire year, being mindful of restrictions which may be in place and exercising caution and patience.

Outside, the coast's beaches are as stunning as ever, with the water perfect for a dip or enjoying on a boat, paddleboard or surfboard. Our pristine forested areas are lush and green with recent rainfall and are wonderful places worth exploring.
Indoors, there are a great number of galleries, museums, eateries and shopping centres all open and ready to greet visitors safely. We'd suggest phoning ahead just in case bookings are required.
Many of the coast's usual spring events have been postponed in light of the current situation. However, some are likely to go ahead as scheduled and many have in turn become virtual events, held online. We recommend checking ahead for any scheduled events or activities to ensure they are still running and also to see if there are any specific requirements for attending.
Whatever you decide to do on the coast this spring, we hope you enjoy yourself and stay safe, healthy and happy.
Best wishes,
From the South Coast Leisure Times team
