Kiama unit volunteers were called to the Kiama Coast Track on the morning of Sunday, July 12, after a female mountain biker suffered an injury while riding.
NSW SES volunteers and NSW Ambulance paramedics accessed the walking track through a nearby rural property and located the patient.
After she was assessed and treated, she was loaded into a mule single wheeled stretcher and transported across rough terrain to a waiting ambulance.
Kiama SES has urged residents to be prepared for wild weather this week, as an east coast low approaches the region.
They recommend residents move vehicles undercover and away from trees and branches, secure loose items around the home, and clean out your gutters, down pipes and drains
For emergency help in floods and storms, call the NSW SES on 132 500. For life-threatening emergencies call Triple Zero (000).
