Trezeguet scored both goals either side of half-time to ensure Villa beat Crystal Palace 2-0 before Bournemouth completed a 4-1 comeback against 10-man Leicester City with Dominic Solanke scoring twice.

Both teams now have 30 points, four adrift from safety, with Bournemouth 18th and Villa 19th by order of goal difference.

At the top end of the table, Wolverhampton Wanderers moved back to sixth after a 3-0 victory over Everton.

Meanwhile in the north London derby, Tottenham's Toby Alderweireld headed in an 81st-minute winner to snatch three points with a 2-1 win.

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette and Spurs' Son Heung-min traded first-half goals but Alderweireld's decider allowed Tottenham to overtake the Gunners in eighth on 52 points.

Fourth-placed Leicester were leading 1-0 at halftime after Jamie Vardy extended his league-leading goal tally to 23.

However, Brendan Rodgers' side crumbled from the 66th minute when Bournemouth scored two goals and Leicester lost a man in as many minutes.

Junior Stanislas brought the sides level from the penalty spot after Callum Wilson was fouled in the box by Wilfried Ndidi.

On Bournemouth's next attack, Solanke slipped in his first goal and Leicester immediately lost Caglar Soyuncu after the Turkey international took his frustrations out on Wilson.

Soyuncu pushed the striker into the net after Solanke scored and appeared to kick his opponent while he was on the floor.

Two more Bournemouth goals came in the last 10 minutes as Leicester defender Jonny Evans scored an own goal and Solanke collected his second to round off a remarkable turnaround victory.
