Duo Histoire is one of Australia's finest classical ensembles and will present a sparkling modern blend of tango, bossa, and Spanish classical music.
Nick enjoys an exciting and varied performance career both in Australia and abroad. He was named the 2011 ABC Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year and has appeared as a soloist with Australia's major symphony orchestras. He has completed a number of recordings for ABC Classic FM.
After earlier study in his home town of Wollongong, Nick received a Bachelor of Music degree with First Class Honours from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and he has completed further studies in Italy, France and the UK.
Born in Brazil, Murilo Tanouye began his musical pursuit learning jazz and bossa nova on guitar. After study in the USA he continued study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, completing a thesis on the guitar music of Heitor Villa-Lobos, which earned him First Class Honours. Murilo performs extensively around Sydney, having played at venues such as the Sydney Theatre, the Art Gallery of NSW and the Sydney Verbruggen Hall. As well as being a respected soloist, Murilo is also a keen chamber musician.
Tickets are $30 at the door (on sale at 1.30pm). Afternoon tea is available. Entry is free for children, students and members of Gerringong Music Club. The Club does not charge children and students in order to provide young people the opportunity to hear fine music.
