Designed by club members and constructed by Queensland company Racepro, the cost of the $20,000 trailer was largely covered by grants from the Commonwealth Government, Australian Lions Foundation and BlueScope/WIN.
The trailer will be at the forefront of the club's fundraising activities as well as being made available to other community groups to help them raise much-needed funds. According to the club's BBQ Committee chairman Denis Beynon the trailer boasts two retractable, six-burner hotplates built-in cold drinks storage bins, water pump, sink and all-purpose shelving.
Federal Member for Gilmore, Fiona Phillips, helped officially launch the trailer.
"Clubs like the Minnamurra Lions are the backbone of the community," she said.
"Members give generously of their time, especially in tough times like the current bushfire disaster."
