The ARIA Award-winning artist is also on the bill for the Fire Fight Australia bushfire relief concert.
Given the commercial success he's enjoyed in recent times, the singer/songwriter said it was important to give something back.
"Obviously it's been crazy to watch the bushfires over the past few weeks, and amazing to see how much everyone's got behind the cause," he said.
"I was trying to think of something I could do, and my merch made a decent amount of money on the last tour. So I thought if we donated all the proceeds that we could be able to help out that way."
The tour in question is a 21-date regional trek, during which the Australian artist will perform songs from his ARIA number one debut album Life.
Sewell said he was excited about his upcoming run of shows having a more stripped-back feel, "with the punters right in front of me".
"The last tour we did was the big production kind of thing, and this feels a little more relaxed and intimate," he said.
"That's how I came up, singing in pubs and taverns, so I'm really looking forward to this one."
The pop/soul performer has racked up more than 900 million streams, scored platinum singles, performed at major US festivals and venues, and made a series of high-profile US television appearances.
Sewell is already writing his second album, and planned to road-test a couple of the new songs on the road.
"It's going to be a good year," he said. "I'm looking forward to getting back to America at the end of the tour and finishing up the album, and going from there.
"I'm super excited, I think it's got some of the best stuff I've done. It's got a real soul to it, and it's going to be next level for me I think."
-Conrad Sewell will perform on Friday, February 21 at Waves, Towradgi Beach Hotel. Tickets are available from Moshtix.
