Narooma, December 14
City-living musicians will return to their home towns of Narooma, not only to perform, but to educate and engage with the next generation. Narooma will welcome back Emma Russack and Cody Munro Moore plus Lachlan Denton, Chelsy Atkins and Jack Wotton for a night of music at the Narooma Kinema. The event will start at 7pm.
Raised Voices
Tomerong, December 13
To end a busy and wonderful year of singing activities, Raised Voices Community Choir will be participating in the Tomerong Christmas Hall fundraising event. The night will kick off from 6pm to 9pm and will have something for both children and parents to enjoy. There will be a sausage sizzle, a visit from Santa, Christmas carols, a silent auction and live music. Entry is $10 for adults and children are free.
Carols, fireworks
Batemans Bay and Moruya, December 15
Kick into gear with some Christmas cheer. There's nothing more uplifting than joyful singing with family, friends and loved ones. At Eurobodalla carols events this weekend there will be extra activities for kids plus a fireworks display. Come along to Carols in the Bay at Mackay Park, Batemans Bay from 5pm or Moruya Carols by Candlelight at Riverside Park. Both events start at 5pm with fireworks at 9pm.
Christmas party
Nowra, December 18
A petting zoo, a visit from Santa Claus and free giveaways are just some of the treats at the Nowra Christmas Party. The community event will be hosted by Southern Cross Housing at Parramatta Park, Nowra East from 11.30am to 1.30pm. There will be plenty of fun for the whole family, including coloured hair spraying, face-painting,a visit from a fire truck and a lolly guessing competition. The team from South Cross Housing and other local support services will also be available for a chat. Free transport can be arranged from Bomaderry and Nowra to Parramatta Park. Chamber Singers
Barragga Bay, December 15
This weekend Four Winds will host the Luminescence Chamber Singers as they present traditional carols from different backgrounds and cultures and across centuries. Warm, atmospheric and stunningly beautiful, the voices of the chamber singers will offer a true moment of calm. The concert will conclude with mass carols with mulled wine and mince pies. The chamber singers is a virtuosic vocal consort based in Canberra, Australia. The group performs a wide range of repertoire from the Renaissance to the 21st Century, and frequently premiere new music by Australian composers, including emerging composers from within their own ranks. The carols will be at Four Winds' Windsong Pavilion with gates open at 7pm. Tickets $40, 16 years and under are free.
