After deciding to specialise as a GP, Dr Warren is training at Kiama Medical Practice and is in his third and final year of training.
"I've really enjoyed GP training, I love learning new things, problem solving and working with people," he said.
"The team in Kiama Medical Practice are great fun to work with and are so good at what they do, there is a real culture of learning and respect here which I value too.
"I love the Illawarra and hope to stay in the area when I complete my training."
On Thursday November 21, he was announced as the GP Synergy South Eastern NSW Registrar of the Year.
The award presented by local GP training provider, GP Synergy, recognises excellence and ongoing commitment to quality general practice education and training.
CEO, John Oldfield, congratulated Dr Warren on his achievement.
"With more than 230 registrars currently training in accredited general practices across South Eastern NSW region, Dr Warren's achievement is certainly something to be proud of," he said.
