Kiama Council closes reserves, sports fields and tracks due to fire risk

Due to catastrophic fire conditions being forecast for Tuesday, November 12, Kiama Council is closing its reserves, sports fields and walking tracks.

These include the former Jerrara Dam site, Saddleback Mountain look-out and Coastal Walking Track.

Sporting organisations have also been contacted regarding the closures for sporting fields.

Residents and visitors should not use these reserves, fields and tracks while closed.

The Rural Fire Service has forecast catastrophic fire danger for Greater Sydney, Greater Hunter and Illawarra/Shoalhaven areas for Tuesday.
