Despite the modified water activities, there were plenty of smiles as the Nippers were put through their paces, starting off with an excursion for new Nippers to the patrol tower, followed by a talk from duty life savers.
"It was great to see new faces as well as our returning members," said organiser Fred Siasat.
"The Kiama Downs Nippers program continues to grow and evolve not only in junior development but also showing strong promise in surf sports. We welcome new members to come join us."
