"This has been our best festival by far," he said.
"I know everyone says it but it's the best one we've ever run. The attendances are up and everyone is just having a great time."
Cork added the seventh event of its kind struck a chord with Kiama locals and those who follow the folk festival circuit.
He praised what the 52 homegrown and international artists produced over the three-day festival, which finished on Sunday.
Co-Cheol were especially popular.
"The group, who feature four girls singing four-part harmonies with a harp, were fantastic," Cork said.
"They played in the Kiama Anglican Church yesterday [Saturday] and we couldn't get anymore people in the door, that's how beautiful they sang."
Highlander, a Newcastle rock group which performs traditional Scottish songs, also struck a chord with those in the crowd.
"It's been a great festival," Cork said.
