Kiama Council general manager Kerry McMurray said Ms Davis had helped lead the council in a time of change. "I cannot overstate Linda's contribution to our council and community," Mr McMurray said. "Linda led numerous projects that will benefit our municipality for decades to come."
Mr McMurray said Ms Davis' leadership extended to her enthusiasm and ability to work with her community to explain, listen and discuss planning matters.
"Linda has proven a great asset to our community, not just for her world-class planning brain, but being willing to get 'in the trenches' and help our residents and community groups get to grips with the often complex world of planning."
Ms Davis has praised the work of her colleagues.
"I have no doubt the staff at Kiama Council will succeed in making Kiama an even better place to live and work in the coming years," Ms Davis said.
"I've enjoyed the collaborative spirit of what is a very progressive and collegial team, from the leadership group right through to our front line staff. "
"I am certain our community will soon experience the full benefits of the transformation that we've started under Kerry's leadership."
"It has been an exciting time being involved with staff at all levels of council, in improving our systems, processes and strategic planning initiatives."
Mr McMurray said, as Assistant General Manager, Ms Davis had been a rock of support and source of strength.
"Linda has been a vibrant, positive and proactive influence on everyone she has worked with at council."
"Linda's ability to recruit and mentor people has delivered council an experienced, skilled and energetic planning team that will continue to meet the high standards required to serve our community."
