Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions this week for essential maintenance work to be carried out on the Illawarra Highway, including the Macquarie Pass section.

The road will be closed in both directions between Tullimbar and Mount Murray Road for work including road resurfacing, sign repairs, vegetation clearing and litter collection to improve safety for motorists.
Work will be carried out between 9am and 3pm from Tuesday to Thursday with weather permitting.
Detours for light vehicles will be in place via Jamberoo Mountain Road, adding up to 10 minutes to travel times.
Vehicles over 7.5 metres or 12 tonnes will need to detour via Hume Motorway, Picton Road and M1 Princes Motorway, adding up to 30 minutes to travel times.
