First up were the Knights' Under 10-2s who took on Berry Magpies.
"The boys had prepared well but unfortunately we didn't get off to a strong start and were down 6-nil after just a few minutes of play," coach Marc Laird said.
"A try to Will Evans which was converted by Max Laird, saw the Knights trail 12-6 at half time. Despite working hard, Berry managed to break our line on a number of occasions and were too good on the day, winning 32-6. We are so impressed with how well all the boys played throughout the season. They should all be proud."
Next, the Under 10s Girls League Tag team took on Stingrays Green. Despite being underdogs, Coach Lachlan Payne was confident.
"Our game plan was all about defence - we know if we defend well we have the strike power to put points on the board," he said. "We went into half-time 4-0 down, but the girls had the legs to outlast any team. As the game went on, gaps opened up and Imogen Moore scored our first try. With the clock ticking, Sage Laird broke away for our second."
Ginger Siasat looked dangerous all second half, before taking off down the sideline in the last seconds for a 12-10 win. "All the girls were exceptional," Lachlan said.
"Katelyn Hoare dominated in defence. Captain, Claire Vogelaar lead the team in attack and worked hard in defence, to win player of the match. Every one of these young girls showed great sportsmanship, determination and had a ball."
In the final game, the Under 12 Girls League Tag took on Milton Ulladulla. Coach, Cindy Brookfield, said the girls had a dream season.
"I knew I had a special group of players," she said.
"They give 100 per cent, the positive energy is infectious. The girls came out strong, and it wasn't long before Mischa McCarthy scored, converted by captain Koffi Brookfield. An intercept by Charlotte Payne saw her run 40 metres before she was run down. Sunni Lord and Georgia Veitch also crossed over for tries, with one converted by Ella Greatz."
Kiama won 20-0. Kiama pocket rocket Ella Greatz won Player of the Match for an outstanding game.
