Patrons took a walk down memory lane, examining the memorabilia on display, covering the forty-year period from 1976 to 2016 in chronological order. The display proved very popular on the day.

Author Chris Hudson said the book was a celebration of the volunteers that keep junior sport alive.

"The book does not only celebrate the forty years of junior football in Kiama, but also the massive amount of work done by its volunteer base over that forty-year period," he said.

"Without volunteers all grassroots sports would struggle to survive."
