Putting Gerringong on the map in a "cut-throat" industry isn't easy - but Simon and Joseph Felice hope snagging The Rubens for a local gig in August will do the trick.

"I thought finance was tough, but music is a step up," Simon said.
"We want to support the music scene locally, with a balance of local acts and big names.
"We want to create a scene that's welcoming. It's a difficult balance, but we're pretty pumped with where we are now."
Simon said one of the trickiest things was to convince larger acts to perform at a venue that hadn't seen many big names before.
He said The Rubens were keen to support the live music scene, and he and his brother were "quite proud" to announce their performance at Crooked River Wines on August 17.
"They have been lovely to work with," he said.
"They are really passionate about the live music scene - they want to support venues that want to support live music. This is going to be an intimate, one-off gig."
