From a punk rocker to a pirate, every doll was unique and made with love and care.
The dolls were the handiwork of the weekly rag doll craft group who devoted many hours over the past three months to lovingly sow them.
The initiative is a first for Uniting Gerringong which has planned to expand the program to other wards and hospitals in the region.
Residents kick-started the initiative when they expressed their desire to give back to the community to leisure and lifestyle coordinator Margaret Darling.
"It's been a delight to see our residents come together, support each other and the community. The project has grown so quickly because of their enthusiasm," Ms Darling said.
"They are very excited to be sharing their creations and forging new friendships with the children and staff at Wollongong Hospital."
